How does an ER test for stroke?
I am a 56 year old male. I want to know how does an ER test for stroke?

We do a stroke assessment and CT of the brain. We want to see you as soon as possible if you are having symptoms of a stroke.
A detailed history and physical exam, including NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), blood work, as well as obtain imaging, typically CT scan, and maybe an MRI.
