How is IBD treated in elderly patients?
My grandfather is 80 years old and is currently suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. How is this condition treated in the elderly?

IBS is different than IBD. They should not be confused as treatment is completely different.
IBD and IBS are completely different diseases. Both are treated medically first but IBD is much more serious than IBS. IBS never needs surgery while IBD can.
