• How long does it take for a fracture to heal in an infant?

My son is 6 months old and fell down from the bed. According to the doctor, he may have suffered a hairline fracture. The bandage has been done, but being a baby he is obviously very irritated. How long does it take for a fracture to heal in a baby? Does it heal completely or will it leave an impact on his hand?

Babies heal very quick. Can be on the order of just a few weeks. Usually does not lead to a long term impact. Hairline not medical term but my assumption is it is a minor torus or incomplete or nondisplaced fracture. These never lead to long term issues.
