See your orthodontist to get a diagnosis and treatment plan and to see if Invisalign is an option. A scan and production of aligners takes 2-3 weeks. Scan is 10 minutes.

There will be an initial consultation with a dentist along with fitting. This initial consultation is about a one hour appointment. This will involve taking digital pictures, images, and impressions of your individual teeth. A treatment plan will be developed for you. This will involve wearing custom made clear aligners 20-22 hours a day. The length of treatment depends on complexity of case and how often you wear your aligners. General statistics show that the treatment could take anywhere from 6-18 months.

We use a digital scanner to record and order aligners. It takes about 15 minutes to do the scan, then 3-6 weeks to order and receive the aligners. If the aligners require a lot of attachments (plastic buttons on the teeth) it can take 20-60 minutes to deliver the first set(s). Only about 15/20 minutes for subsequent sets of trays.

After impressions have been completed, either manual or virtual, the time interval depends on how many corrections are communicated to the manufacturer. Normally, you should get the aligner trays in about 3 weeks

In general, it takes 3-5 weeks for your first Invisalign tray to be made and arrive in your hands; but some take longer, some take shorter, depending on your own particular situation. Please ask your orthodontist for a more accurate estimate!
