How long should I take pain medications after tooth extraction?

I had a tooth extraction yesterday. I am taking pain medications. How long should I take pain medications after tooth extraction?

At least a day after the pain subsides to help reduce inflammation after the surgery.

Dear normally pain recovery is in 3 to 5 days. Take regular medicine and eat soft meals.
