• How long should you do salt water rinses after tooth extraction?

I am a 39 year old male. I want to know how long should you do salt water rinses after tooth extraction?

I would do the rinses for about a week after the surgery, unless directed otherwise.

A week or two.

Salt and water rinse decreases inflammation. 2-3 days, up to a week max is all that is needed

It is best recommended to do warm salt water rinses for at least 6-7 days after the extraction or until it stops hurting around the extraction area.

You should have been instructed by your surgeon. But you don’t rinse for the first 24 hours, then maybe 2-3 times per day for 1-2 days.
