I will undergo radiation treatment for breast cancer. How many radiation treatments are usually needed for breast cancer?

The typical treatment is 4 weeks. However, in some settings, depending on some criteria, it may be 6 weeks. Your radiation oncologist will explain it to you.
Normally it requires 30-33 treatments depending on physician’s preference and breast size.
