Pain is a symptom that is quite subjective, pain is still normal for 5 wks after surgery, however, how much pain experienced varies person to person, so I recommend that you seek the consult of your surgeon regarding the pain you are experiencing.

Depends on what was done and why.If there was major arthritis it may take awhile.

It completely depends on what type of ankle surgery you had. It is very common to have some discomfort that can last for a few months sometimes after surgery. But, again, this is dependent on what type of surgery was performed. Different repairs and different pathologies require different healing times. It is always best to consult with the surgeon who performed the surgery and ask him/her directly.

Pain will vary based on individual tolerance and procedure performed. I recommend you discuss with your surgeon if it is normal in your case
