• How to help adopted son with motor delays?

I am a 29 year old male. Our recently adopted 2 year old son seems to have motor delays. What can we do to help him?

Good Morning,

If you have concerns with oral motor delays and possible weakness, you can contact an area SLP to discuss further and possibly complete an evaluation. Without knowing the specifics of your concerns, it would be hard for me to give you detailed advice.

Best,

Holly

Most children's hospitals have special clinics devoted to developmental difficulties. Such a clinic could assess your adopted son and find a physical therapist who specializes in developmental difficulties. Such therapy is often quite effective.
