Can you smell? Have you had a recent cold which affected your nose? Allergies with polyps? Exposure to toxic inhalants? Taste is mediated by 7th and 9th cranial nerves. If your sense of smell is diminished, usually your sense of taste will also be diminished. if secondary to upper respiratory infection, should recover in 3 to 6 weeks. If does not recover, see an ENT doctor.

Hello,

Recommend see an ENT Specialist. If there is no sense of smell, must rule out COVID infection; however, there are more causes that need attention.

You should have a test for Covid and Covid antibodies. You also would benefit from evaluation by a rhinologist. I would suggest my associate, Dr. Alnouri, 215–7 62–5530.
