• I drink cold drinks very frequently. I am now having some numbness. Could it be because of my cold drink intake?

I am a 37 year old woman and I tend to consume a lot of aerated cold drinks during the day. Of late I am experiencing a weird kind of numbness in my mouth and teeth. Could it be because of my cold drink intake?

Possibly. Depending on the symptoms, it could also be a host of other issues. You should see either your general dentist, or an oral surgeon to have an X-ray and make sure there are no other underlying problems.

Very unlikely. If this continues I would pursue a neurologic cause.

Numbness that persists is symptom of a possible underlying problem that should be followed up with your dentist. The longer you wait, the harder it may be to treat. Numbness to the mouth is not a common finding and should be further evaluated.
