The ingrown nail has to be rid of first. The bleeding is due to the ingrown nail cutting into the skin inside the nail cuticle.

Go to a podiatrist

You need to see a podiatrist. The bleeding is likely secondary to the nail border being ingrown, especially if the tissue around it is becoming “proud”…. This is growing out unusually. There are other things that can cause bleeding under the nail such as a glomus tumor (not cancer, but painful). Find a good DPM near you and get an appt.

Sounds like you may have an ingrown toenail. You can try soaking it in warm water 15 minutes twice a day and applying triple antibiotic to the area to see if that decreases your symptoms. However, if it does not, I would see a podiatrist to have it properly treated.

If it constantly bleeds, it likely means the ingrown needs to be removed professionally.

You need to see a podiatrist and have it removed with a minor surgical procedure.

Usually the bleeding is due to the nail having broken through the skin. When pressure is placed on that side of the nail, it will stimulate the bleeding again. The only way to stop the bleeding is to remove the section of the toenail that has broken through the skin. For just about everyone, that requires a visit to the doctor for local anesthesia

It sounds like an ingrown nail. Resolution of the symptoms will need a visit to the podiatrist who will need to remove the corner of the nail that is causing inflammation.

You need antibiotics to clear the infection, and you need the border of the toenail that is bothering you removed under local anesthesia.

I recommend you ask your parents to make an appointment for you with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for evaluation and treatment options
