• Is a Zyrtec regimen safe for kids?

I have been giving zyrtec to my daughter as she is highly prone to allergies. She's 11. I just want to know if this is completely safe for her.

Zyrtec has been used for many years and is now over-the-counter. It works best when given every day. It does not go to the brains like short acting antihistamines like benadryl and is very safe.

Yes, giving daily Zyrtec in the proper dosage is a very safe and effective way to manage allergies in most children. Be careful not to overdose and keep the medicine out of her reach to avoid overdosing.

Every medication has side effects. Medications should be used only if needed. There is no medication that is without any side effects.

Yes I have found it safe and it is an effective treatment for allergies. It has less side effects compared to some of the older anti-histamines.

As long as you use the proper dose as recommended by her pediatrician, it should be very safe. I am using it for babies that are 9 months old and above. If Zyrtec does not help your child's allergies, she might have a sinus infection that you need to treat first. Without treating the infection, Zyrtec will not work.
