Is colon biopsy done with general anesthesia?

I will have a colon biopsy. Is colon biopsy done with general anesthesia?

If this is during a colonoscopy then no. You will be sedated and unaware of it happening and will be comfortable but will breath on your own.

If not done by a colonoscopy, yes.
