I will have a C-section delivery. Is general anesthesia used for C-sections?

For elective Cesarean Sections standard of care is Spinal Anesthesia. In
case of emergency it could be general anesthesia occasionally.

Generally C-sections done under regional anesthesia with an epidural or spinal. Only in emergent situations where there is no time to place a regional anesthetic would we choose general anesthesia
