Is it mumps?
My son (8 years old) suffers from swelling in his cheeks and it's hurting him a lot. He also has a fever at night. Can this be mumps?

This is too low for the mumps. This loos like an abscess or an infected lymph node and may need antibiotics or drainage.
It doesn't look like mumps, since this looks like a localized red swelling, while mumps is a diffuse, skin-colored swelling. To me, it looks like a lymph gland infection or a boil or abscess.
