Hi,
Jaw pain is not abnormal after a root canal given that the mouth is usually open for a significant amount of time during the procedure. If the discomfort does not resolve with pain meds please see your dentist for an evaluation as it could be something more serious.

It is not unusual to have pain following a root canal procedure. Generally, I tell patients to expect 3-5 days of discomfort and that the tooth may be tender to chewing for a couple of weeks. but you should see gradual improvement during that time. Ibuprofen is a good choice to help
with the inflammation that is usually causing the pain.

It is not unusual. You want to watch for any swelling or pressure sensation
which may indicate an infection

It is possible as it has to heal now.

Your jaw may be a little tender of sore for a few days after a root canal, but if it lasts longer than a week, you should go back and have it checked.
