Unfortunately if you have lost bone from periodontitis this is not reversible. However the disease can be managed to prevent further bone loss and establish a healthier mouth through non surgical and surgical procedures. If untreated it can lead to tooth loss. Please speak with your dentist or periodontist for the best treatment for you.

No, it can be arrested and maintained. Sometimes if caught early, it can be repaired.

Periodontitis is never reversible. With periodontal disease, the chronic inflammation leads to puffy, bleeding gums and loss of bone. Our best hope with periodontal disease is to eliminate the inflammation and bring health back to the gum tissue, keeping everything stable as it is. It is impossible to reverse the destruction to the bone that has already happened.

No periodontitis is not reversible but it can be maintained from getting worse by getting periodic check ups, cleanings as recommended by your hygienist or periodontist.
