My 62 year old husband recently underwent open heart surgery about 2 weeks ago. When is it safe for us to resume our sex life?

Yes, you can have sex after open heart surgery. I would check with your cardiologist on the exact time to begin again. He or she may want to do a follow-up test before giving you the green light to do so.
Your cardiac rehab counselor can answer specific questions since they will have your entire medical/surgical history from the heart surgeon/specialist. You may have other health problems that need to be addressed. Please follow up with your heart surgeon and cardiologist.
