• Does MSG in food cause heart problems?

I recently came across an article that said MSG found in various foods can cause heart problems. Is this really true?

Can cause headache and, in some people, palpitations.

As far as I know, no, it doesn't. The S stands for sodium, so it is quite high in sodium, so possible needs some caution for people with high blood pressure, but its main problems are allergies, flushing, headaches, etc. It seems to excite nerves, but as far as the heart is concerned, I know of no adverse effects.
