I feel a menthol taste in my throat?
A minty taste disorder can be associated with a chronic condition named Burning Mouth Syndrome BMS or glossodynia. Reasons for this disorder can vary between GERD, infection, menopause, pregnancy, ketosis, and neurological disorders. I noticed you are taking a prenatal so it could be pregnancy causing fluctuations in your hormones that can relax the muscles/sphincters in the throat allowing GERD which can cause the taste issue. This can happen in the first trimester. Later on in pregnancy as the uterus grows larger it can also put pressure on other areas of the stomach and likewise cause the taste issues. Possibly try Tums or another antacid to help with the GERD. Bishop Family Dental Phone: 801-274-2500
