• Oral thrush or worse?

About 3 months ago I noticed what looked like cottage cheese in my mouth. I went to Dr. and was given nyastatin, not sure of the spelling, and was told to swish and swallow. It seemed like it helped but soon returned. This happened 2 more times using the same medication and I still have this in my mouth. It doesn’t look like cottage cheese as much now but edge of my tongue is very sore, I have very little taste and it is also on my inner cheeks and lips. I use a warm saltwater gargle peroxide, listers egg baking soda. Sometimes it seems better, then it gets worse again. Any ideas?

This may be a problem which is recurring due to an underlying problem and so my suggestion is that you visit an oral surgeon or an oral pathologist for a definitive diagnosis. It is likely that a biopsy may be performed.

Need a review of other medications that you are taking, and a visual exam. Need to schedule an exam with your dentist.
