Normally lupus does not affect the back unless there is the presence of a transverse myelitis which is inflammation in the nerves as they exit the spinal cord. This can be evaluated by an MRI of the spine and if necessary a spinal tap.

No it does not cause pinched nerves

Lupus does not directly cause spinal pain
The abnormalities you describe are likely due to other causes

lupus itself does not cause any arthritis in lower back but medication for lupus like prednisone can cause osteoporosis or compression fractures in lower back.
need to follow up with doctor for further evaluation.

Probably not resulting from SLE. Possibly another problem/diagnosis, treatment complication

No Lupus does not cause this problem.

Thanks!

Very unlikely. Probably a disc. We've done nerve blocks with fluoroscopy, and without general anesthesia. Have your doc do a good neurologic exam.
