• Proteins were detected in my urine. Is it fatal?

I am a 36 year old man and in my latest report, proteins were detected in my urine sample. What exactly does this mean and can this lead to further complications in my health?

No but it is a warning signal to protect your kidneys

Protein in urine is concerning. Are you diabetic? Hypertensive? You will need further evaluation, including blood tests for many different disease processes that can cause proteinuria and a kidney biopsy if the protein is significant. You should see a nephrologist soon.

It means the kidneys are losing proteins. Need a nephrologist consult to figure out the reason.
