Recovery after serious car crash?
My brother had to have immediate brain surgery after a very serious car crash. Thankfully he is predicted to recover completely but I am nervous of how long it will take. He is 13 years old and is still in the hospital (surgery was 1 week ago).

The older you are the worse the brains ability to deal with the injury. I don't know details but I remain hopeful for a good result
The time to recover is proportional to the extent of the injury. Children are very resilient and they will recover but some times it will take a little time. Set short term goals and talk about your expectations. Trauma related injuries take everything else off the table. There is no rush just get him better.
