My little boy (4) is very sensitive to mosquito bites, he swells up after every bite. The skin becomes very hot swollen and sometimes purple, and sometimes a boil will form. if the bite is on his foot - he can't put his shoe on because it's so swollen. if on his cheek his eye will shut and it will look as if he has candy in his mouth. I want to add that he is also allergic to grass. How can I help him? (so far I give him antihistamines and dab cream with antibiotics) but it doesn't seem to help much.
Hi, Im sorry to hear about your sons reaction to the mosquito bites. Unfortunately its a very common thing we see amongst young kids during the summer. My recommendation is to try topical Benadryl or hydrocortisone cream two to the times a day to control the symptoms. Its very important to make he doesnt scratch the bites as this increases the rush of infection.
