I have anxiety and need tools for it. Should I see a psychologist or psychiatrist for anxiety?

A psychologist offers therapy, while a psychiatrist can provide both therapy and medications. You may benefit from both.

You can see either one. A psychologist just does psychotherapy, but a psychiatrist can use medication as well. I would suggest deciding with regard to the severity. I would suggest the psychiatrist if the ansiety is severe. Jack L. Underwood, M.D.
