• Soft Bowel Movements?

Hello, I have a concern about my bowel movements which have been too soft. Lately, I would say it has been more frequent but, I started having this problem maybe about one year ago. It seems like when I eat greasy foods then this happens occasionally. I don't know if this would aggravate the problem or, not? Before, a movement sometimes, I'll just feel a dull ache in my stomach but, not necessarily pain. Then I'll usually have several small bowel movements sometimes in one sitting and, then I might have to go back again and, go a couple more times. It's soft, messy and, very stinky movements, that don't look normal instead of being firm and, having a better texture and, appearance. However, it's not diarrhea. As for eating other types of foods, I don't really think anything else bothers me. My diet is not that good. I do try to eat healthily but, sometimes I eat too much food fatty foods or, fast food. I also don't drink any water at all or, when I do it's very seldom. Which of course, I know that I should try to be drinking water every day. probably at least three times a day, right? My regularity is good of course, it could be better. I occasionally, I do get constipated. I'm not taking any medications I don't have a doctor. It's been many years since I've seen a doctor.

It seems that the major problem is your diet. You should start a low fat, irritant fee diet and watch the response

You should see a primary care doctor and have a basic medical work up appropriate for your age. A colonoscopy is due after age 50 if you haven't had one yet. Improve your diet and the stools will probably become more normal.
