• Stomach discomfort

20 yr old female tested positive for covid around December 2nd and tested negative on December 15th, I have since had nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, unable to hold food down on most days, I was prescribed medication for nausea and Tylenol for pain, I also had to get an IV for dehydration and I gave lost 22 pounds. Symptoms persist till this day without improvement, what could it be and what tests should I request to be done. Thank you.

Hello, It would be beneficial to come see the Dr in person, so she can do a full examination and decide which further tests are needed. Thank you

You should not necessarily request testing. You should allow a doctor, such as a gastroenterologist, to do a history and physical and make a determination as to what the diagnosis could be and what testing would be helpful.
This could be residual effects of an acute gastritis but a detailed history should be done.
