Stomach tightness?
I have had tightness in my upper stomach about a month ago, my dr gave me prilosac, still taking it. I feel perfectly fine now, he wants to do an endoscopy, is that necessary?

Yes it is necessary to rule out Helicobacter pylori infection as well as other conditions that could mimic Gastroesophageal reflux disease and/or Peptic ulcer disease.

I would need to know the details of your case to determine how appropriate it is to do an endoscopy. There may be details missing that explains why an endoscopy is recommended. I CAN say that if your symptoms are gone then the yield of the endoscopy will be lower.
