It feels like a lump and hurts if I put pressure on it?

It could be a cyst. Is there a old piercing in that area? You may want to see a dermatologist for that.
You most likely have an epidermal inclusion cyst, an ingrowth of skin that sheds into itself and slowly enlarges until it either ruptures or becomes infected. The best treatment is removal by an ENT doctor or a dermatologist. You may need antibiotics first.
