• Testicle Discomfort

Hello,

I am wondering if I am likely to have an STI given that I am having some very mild testicular discomfort but no other symptoms.

I had a drunken sexual encounter about six weeks ago where I wore a condom initially and then took it off for a brief period.

About two weeks later after some very rough (protected) sex, the following day I noticed a bit of testicular discomfort that i would describe as more of a cramp. The discomfort has continued sporadically since then and has been predominantly in my left testicle. I would describe the pain as very mild, with only one instance of a slightly sharper pain that dissipated after a few moments (4/10).

I have not had any other symptoms like itching or burning, either during urination or ejaculation, there is no discharge, and the pain has not had a significant impact on my day to day other than mentally.

I have palpated the area several times and I did notice some discomfort in what I suppose I would describe as the vast deferens on one occasion, but for the most part there is no pain there either.

My main concern is whether I should be concerned about an STI or if this sounds like something more severe. What is the likelihood that if I had chlamydia or gonorrhea that these would be my only symptoms?

Thanks.

Most likely not a STI, however you may have epididymitis which is an inflammation of the epididymis. This treated with anti-inflammatories and support underwear. I also would stop examining yourself because that sometimes irritates it more. If it doesnt get better with this in a week, then you need an ultrasound and testing.
