For the last few days, I have been hearing an odd sound in my right ear. The sound is pretty consistent throughout the day. It is a "thump, thump" sound, sort of like a heartbeat. I used to have this sound in my right ear from time to time, but now it's happening quite often and lasting for longer periods of time. I do have high blood pressure, which I take medication for. What could be causing this thumping sound in my ear?
Probable pulsations of small arterial vessels on surface of cochlea.
