• Trapped Air - lots of pain

I’ve got some trapped air in my lungs, limited airways and a flattened diaphragm (per X-rays) I’m in a lot of pain for two weeks now. I can’t see a pulmonologist for two more weeks.

Can I wait that long?
What is the procedure for relief? (A needle?)

You are young and shouldn’t have hyperinflation to this extent. Are you a smoker? You may have alpha 1 anti-trypsin deficiency and need replacement. You will need a Pulmonary Function Test and perhaps a HRCT ( high resolution CT Scan)

bronchodilators can often open the airways to help the air escape. Breathing out slowly also can also help air trapped in the lungs to exhale
