• Vaginal Boil w/ Fever and Swollen Lymph Nodes

I’ve never had a vaginal boil before, but just other day I noticed one on my labia, followed by fever and swollen lymph nodes. From what I’ve read, that means I need to see a doctor, but I don’t have health insurance and I can’t afford to see a doctor. Should I still be okay to treat the boil at home or do I really need to see a doctor?

If there is a fever you need to see a doctor

Best option is to go to urgent care or er. Even if it spontaneously drains you will need antibiotics. Warm compress wil stimulate growth and drain.

Hi
If the boil is getting bigger and more red and painful, it may be getting infected and then you need antibiotics. If you have a fever then there is probably and infection and you should seek medical help
