• Vaginal prolapse after vigorous sex + coughing?

I have been recovering from COVID-19 and about a week after being cleared, I was still coughing. I finally felt good enough to resume my sex life, but we were perhaps too enthusiastic. I used a particularly large dildo and after we had intercourse, I had a coughing attack. I believe that is when the prolapse occurred, as there was no pain during intercourse. Besides Kegel exercises, is there anything else I should do/not do to facilitate healing?

Vaginal prolapse is very common and will most likely need to be surgically corrected

I recommend immediate gynecology follow-up. They can see the points at which you have a prolapse issue. If it affects incontinence also, that needs to be followed. They can put you on estrogen cream too in preparation for prolapse surgical repair if needed later on down the road. Levels won’t help much for this extent of the issue.

Best wishes,

I do not believe so. If you are still concerned about the prolapse or it is causing symptoms then I would make an appointment to have it evaluated.
