Vaginal spotting?
I'm 57 years old and haven't had a period in about 2 years. After sex, I noticed spots on my sheets nothing like a period just spots on the sheets, and when I wiped the next day it was nothing on the tissue. No pain the spots were red and it smelled like period blood.

You should call your GYN and request an exam to be evaluated – it could be from the vagina due to thinning of the lining from menopause, it could also be from the cervix or uterus and a pap smear and ultrasound may be needed.
