• Vascular reflux and back pain

Hello. I have been suffering from low back pain and sciatica for five years. A recent MRI
revealed a diffuse disc bulge and conus medullaris terminates at T12/L1. The same week I was diagnosed with vascular reflux. My Dr. Said the back issues were a direct result of the reflux. I can find no literature to support this. Is she wrong?

The low back pain, sciatica, and MRI findings of a diffuse disc bulge and conus medullaris.

I think you would have to be evaluated by a vascular surgeon and gotten a full history and physical as well as review of imaging to really get the most accurate answer.

I assume the reflux was in your leg based on an ultrasound. That will not cause back pain. Its most Likely your spine problems or muscle spasms in your back.

Wow this would be a difficult one to nail down without specifics. However reflux location will matter here.

Would need details about where the reflux was located, how bad. I would be hard pressed to absolutely blame the pain on the "reflux" with further details.

I would suggest evaluation by a vascular surgeon.

I don't see how those two things could be directly related. Their symptoms could overlap to some degree, but the pathology is completely unrelated.
