• What about radiation tests?

I am being asked to take a test where they inject me with radiation to see where my prostate cancer has spread to. Is this safe or not?

There are many different types of tests which can be used to detect if the cancer has metastasized or spread. They include Bone Scans (to survey the skeleton), CT scans (to evaluate solid organs) and PET scans (to look for increased blood flow or hypermetabolic activity) throughout the body. These are all standard of care diagnostic tests and considered very safe.

The short answer is yes......take the fight to the cancer.
