I will have kidney cyst surgery. What anesthesia is used for kidney cyst surgery?

It depends on the exact location and size of your cyst. If it is small and very superficial, it may be able to be removed under a local anesthetic. However, it most probably will need to be excised under a general anesthetic. Your anesthesiologist will discuss your options prior to the procedure.
