Potential triggers for migraines include stress, irregular sleep schedule, hormonal changes during menses, over exertion, excessive sensory stimuli, foods like chocolate, cheese and also dehydration. Identifying the triggers and avoiding it can help reduce the migraine frequency.

1st of all we need to make sure that what you have is migraine, and not caused by other etiology/causes. I suggest that you check with your physician or neurologist.

There are some patients with migraine who have difficult to manage migraine, refractory, and they require specialized headache center to help them.
Migraine has hereditary component, for example if a family member has migraine, another family member is more likely to have migraine.
