I've been diagnosed with heart failure. What are the treatment options for early-stage heart failure?
Early stage heart failure involves lifestyle changes and medications to slow down the symptom progression. Medications like ARNIs,ACEISARBs, diuretics, beta blockers, aldosterone antagonists and SGLT2 inhibitors are usually prescribed. When it progresses to end stage heart failure, implantable devices like biventricular pacemakers, LVADs and ICDs are used. Heart transplant is also an option in a few selective patients.

There are different stages and types of heart failure based on ejection fraction, acute or chronic, left or right, or whether both pumping chambers are involved. Treatment depends on your specific diagnosis.
Please, see your cardiologist to discuss details and treatment that will be personally fit for you.

Please make sure you are following up with a cardiologist. They are the heart specialist and will likely try to optimize your heart function on medications. You can certainly help by limiting your salt intake, eating a healthy whole-food diet, and exercising.
