I have gastritis. What foods to avoid with gastritis?
What foods should I avoid with gastritis?
Answer
Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach lining, and certain foods can aggravate the condition. To help manage symptoms and promote healing, its advisable to avoid or limit the following
Spicy foods such as chili, peppers, and hot sauces
Fatty and fried foods like fried snacks, fast food, and greasy meats
Acidic foods and beverages including citrus fruits, tomatoes, and tomatobased products
Caffeinated drinks coffee, tea, cola
Alcohol which can irritate the stomach lining
Carbonated drinks sodas and sparkling water
Chocolate which can relax the lower esophageal sphincter and increase acid reflux
Peppermint and spearmint which may worsen symptoms in some individuals
Additionally, eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoiding eating late at night can help reduce symptoms. Its also helpful to avoid smoking, as it can impair healing.
Always consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and to develop a diet plan suited to your specific condition.

a simple way to address this will be : try to avoid spicy, deep-fried, and acidic food.
There is no good answer to this. Food does not cause gastritis and most gastritis does not cause pain or other symptoms unless it is acute.
Most discomfort from eating food is the result of stomach hypersensitivity (dyspepsia), or food intolerance, and has nothing to do with any gastritis that might be found incidentally.
