I have impacted wisdom teeth. Should I remove them? What happens if you don't remove impacted wisdom teeth?

Hi, not all impacted teeth are removed, however, 85-90% should be removed . We are concerned with cyst that usually are associated with impacted teeth and pockets that trap food debris that will usually effect teeth adjacent to the impacted teeth. I recommend a consultation by a Oral & maxillofacial surgeon

Any number of things could happen to an impacted wisdom tooth, from nothing at all to pericoronitis. You should visit an oral surgeon for an evaluation to determine to what degree your tooth is impacted.
