I wear dentures. What happens if you use too much denture adhesive?
Just wasting it. It may ooze out and swallow it
If you are using an excessive amount of denture adhesive, more than likely you need a reline or new denture. Please read the instructions on the packaging.
If you wear dentures and you use excessive amounts of adhesive, it will cause a problem. The dental adhesives occupy space under the denture, this space will cause the gum and sometimes the bone to recede. It will come a time when not even huge amounts of adhesive will hold the denture in place as the fit of the denture will have changed significantly.
