I am a 33 year old female. I want to know what is a natural plant-based diet like?
Hi there, This is a great question as it's a hot trend right now. There are a ton of versions of plant based diets, from just eating more veggies than mean, to super strict forms of vegan diets. The whole point of a real plantbased diet is to swap out unhealthy food choices and increase real, whole and fresh veggies and fruits. What it comes down to is this Eating more whole, real veggies and fruits Eating less animal meat products but when you do, eat god quality real meats, not the super processed, chemical and preservative filled stuff Cutting out as much as you can all fake foods like sugarfilled and sugarfree junk foods and processed items anything that comes prepackaged like cookies, chips, canned sausages, American cheese slicesvelveetacanned type cheese, etc Common mistakes people new to plantbased diets make They change out processed meat hot dogs, deli meat, cheap premade flavored patties, chicken nuggets for processed plantbased products like Beyond, Impossible and Morning Star brand fake meat burgers, fake meat nuggets, fake hot dogs etc. Those are just as toxic and processed as the other stuff! It defeats the purpose of a plantbased diet. Not read ingredient labels! There are a couple of premade beanveggie patties that ARE still good to eat. The ingredients label has only plants and spices you recognize listed. Nothing else. Those are okay to eat! They still drink all the unhealthy sodas and other beverages that are essentially just chemicals andor sugar filled. Switch to water, herbal teas and making fruitinfused water. If you are going to drink juice drink 100 juice, not those that are only a tiny juice. If you're looking for help transitioning to a plantbased diet or want to know what it's like on a daily basis to make these kinds of changes, check out the Whole 30 website for sample shopping lists, menus and more at Whole30.com. Good starting place. Happy eating!.
To be honest, I am not a fan of a plant-based diet. The human body does best with animal protein. I have never met someone who is on a plant based diet that is not low on many nutrients such as iron, vitamin B-12, creatine, carnosine, vitamins A, D, E, K; just to name a few. From our teeth to our intestines, we are carnivores.
