What is the effect of hepatitis C on the liver?
I was reading an article the other day that hepatitis C can impact the liver functioning of a person. How does the disease hamper it? Can hepatitis C be prevented?

Like any virus or bacterial exacerbation, the function of the affected organ will be affected during the inflammatory phase, mostly due to inflammation. Sometimes regenerative processes can lead to fibrosis- and the liver is a sensitive organ to both processes, because of the intensity of its multiple functions in the body.
