SSRIs like sertraline Zoloft are often considered safer during pregnancy, but always consult your doctor first. If you have any further questions or need more clarity, please consult with a psychiatrist. If youre in Texas, we welcome you to reach out to www.MidCitiesPsychiatry, were here to help you.

My first choice is Fluoxetine (Prozac). Bupropion, Escitalopram or sertraline are fine too. Avoid paroxetine. Sertraline (Zoloft) best for breastfeeding.

Most often we prescribe Wellbutrin. Generally good to wait out first trimester to start on any medication.
