What is the success rate of herniated disc surgery?

I am a 50 year old male and I have herniated disc. What is the success rate of herniated disc surgery?

Not very succesful. You can get post laminectomy syndrome.

In my experience, success rate is usually 50/50 though every case is different depending on the degree of herniation/pain/etc.
