Benzodiazepines will give temporary relief. The fastest acting is Xanax. All are Schedule 4 narcotics and addicting. SSRIs are antidepressants but also are anxiolytics. Many of the anticonvulsants will stabilize mood. Stimulants will elevate the mood but later may cause depression

Many medications can cause mood changes. Common ones would be steroids, birth control, anti-seizure medications, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants and antidepressants.
Hope this helps!
